How long will the ZP-64Wh run my router?
Divide 64Wh by your combined load in watts and multiply by about 0.9 for efficiency. A typical 7W cellular router plus ATA runs about 8 hours, a 15W load about 4 hours, and the maximum 38W load about 1.5 hours. Try the runtime calculator.
Which devices can the ZP-64Wh power?
Anything running on 9V, 12V or 24V DC within the port ratings, USB 5V devices, and PoE devices via the selectable 24V/48V injector — cellular routers, ATAs, VoIP gateways, cameras, access points and alarm panels, up to 38W total.
What is the difference between the POE-IO and POE-232D models?
The ZP-64Wh-POE-IO uses digital I/O: DO1 signals AC power loss and DI1 power-cycles the outputs. The ZP-64Wh-POE-232D instead provides an RS232 serial port that reports AC status, battery level and voltage to the host router and supports remote power-off and restart.
Why does POTS replacement need battery backup?
Copper phone lines carried their own power, so phones worked during blackouts. The cellular routers and ATAs that replace them lose power with the building unless a battery backup keeps voice, fire-alarm and elevator lines online. Learn more about POTS replacement backup power.
